Shainna; Student, Friend, Daughter, Future Entertainment Broadcast Anchor, & Poet
Hey everyone my name is Shainna (pronounced Shayna) im 19 yrs. old and entering my Jr. yr, of college. Im a communications and rhetoric studies major and a Spanish and art minor. I currently attend Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, and would like to Attend Gradutae school at either, Columbia University or NYU. I was born and raised in NJ and NY is like my second home. My dream job would be to a correspodant for E news. or just replace Ryan Seacrest lol no im playing. but I would love to do red carpets, and be the one to bring the entertainment news into the homes of Americans. Not only that, I am a praise dancer or what other wise is known as Lirtigical dancing. Meaning I dance for my church. I am also a poet. Not famous but I do alot of writing, and spoken word at school. So definately check out some of my work. Also if you havent noticed I am a proud dread head. I am pushing toward my 2yr. birthday for my hair. and its been amazing so some pics will be up.
I have to say that I'm so thankful for everything that I have. I come from a single parent home, I am the only child, and i love it. My mother has been my sole provider for the last couple years. My parents have be separated for about 9 yrs now, and i;ve learned to deal with it. But the good part is i have 2 support systems. Both my parents support my career goals, and always behind me.

I have to say that I'm so thankful for everything that I have. I come from a single parent home, I am the only child, and i love it. My mother has been my sole provider for the last couple years. ~*Career Goals*~
Ultimately I would love to work for the Echannel, do things like the Daily 10, or work for CNN doing things Showdiz Tonight, or even being a news anchor for ABC, MSNBC, CBS etc. I love finding out information and reporting it. I think there is a fine line between gossiping, and reporting what you know. I personally dont put information out there on someone or something with finding out if it's true or not. I hate tabloids, I think they only out for the dollar, not really being genuine with their work. One thing i hve learned in school is i need to work on my versatility. Everyday I am bettering my writing. I personally wouldn;t waant to work for a newspaper, because I believe that the newspaper industry is a declining industry. But if I do go into print journalism, I would love to work for a magazine like Seventeen, Cosmo, or Vouge. I want to be involved with celebrities, and the entertainment world.
However I also believe in always having a back up plan. I know that there is a chance that I may not be in front of the camera, so I am also working behind the camera. I took different photography classes, and also getting ready to take a video production course. I want to be versatile i everything that i do. And actually it would be beautiful if could do both. I enjoy being in the dark room developing film, and love being in front of the camera. I hoep that I am blessed with the oppotunity to do so.

This was a track meet in Tennesse, I am apart of Oglethorpe's track and field team. I compete in the shot-put, javelin, and discus events. Not the best at but im learning. Look at the intensity lol
God is Here
This is a Liturgical dance I did my freshmen yr of college. by this point i had been dancing for about 6 or 7 years. I danced to a song called "God is Here" which is an awesome song. But definately was long, and tiring, but i love dancing. both in and out of church.
